Opening a bank account in Turkey is mandatory for the Golden Visa process. You will need an active Turkish bank account for property payments, currency transfers, and tax payments.

- Passport (valid, notarized translation)
- Tax number (obtained from tax office)
- Residence certificate (from your country, apostilled)
- Reference letter (from your current bank)
💡 Info: Getting a tax number is free and fast. You can apply to any tax office with your passport and receive it the same day.
Currency Transfer Process
For property payments, SWIFT transfers are mandatory with currency conversion to TRL. Source documentation and MASAK (financial intelligence) compliance checks apply to large transactions.
